Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 7-day assignment in Texas, starting Mar 15, 2026. This role involves a mix of 12 and 24-hour shifts within a Trauma Center, focusing on all lifesaving procedures and managing a diverse patient demographic including trauma, pediatric, and geriatric cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care within a Trauma Center setting.
  • Manage an Emergency Room, supported by a team including Family Practice physicians, a Pediatrician, and Nurse Practitioners.
  • Perform essential lifesaving procedures, including intubation, extubation, and ventilation management.
  • Conduct thorough History and Physical (H&P) examinations.
  • Respond effectively to emergency codes.
  • Address a diverse patient demographic, with approximately 20% trauma, 30% pediatric, and 25% geriatric cases.
  • Collaborate with referral centers such as DeTar, Citizens-Victoria, San Antonio Methodist, Houston Memorial, and Corpus-Pediatric for specialized care.
