Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in an emergency department
  • Manage a range of acute and urgent cases, including trauma and cardiac events
  • Deliver care in a chest pain-accredited facility with 21,000 annual ED visits
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and hospital staff
  • Ensure timely evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of patients
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care
  • Participate in trauma care at a trauma center
  • Follow hospital protocols and best practices for emergency medicine

Additional Information

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required; BC in Family Practice or Internal Medicine considered with at least 2,000 hours of recent ED experience
  • Active Texas medical license required
  • Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required
  • 9 hours of trauma CME annually required
