We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Texas. This 9-day opportunity begins Oct 3, 2025, and features exclusive 24-hour shifts at a Trauma Center. The schedule includes multiple dates in October and November, offering exposure to a variety of emergency cases in a rural setting with robust specialist coverage.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide care in a Trauma Center with ER beds
  • Manage a diverse patient population: approximately 5 percent trauma, 50 percent pediatrics, and 35 percent geriatrics
  • Perform all lifesaving procedures including intubation, extubation, and ventilation management
  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations
  • Lead and respond to emergency codes
  • Coordinate patient transfers and admissions according to established protocols
  • Collaborate with specialists and referral centers as needed
  • Adhere to OB and transfer/admit protocols


Additional Information

  • Texas medical license required
  • Trauma and rural health emergency experience preferred
  • Must be comfortable with all aspects of emergency medicine in a rural setting
