Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 60-day assignment starting Jul 1, 2026, in Pennsylvania. This role involves managing a shift-based schedule focused on critical patient care, including emergency surgical procedures like chest tube insertions and cricothyrotomy, within a non-trauma center environment. The physician will handle diverse patient volumes across two distinct sites, providing comprehensive emergency medical services.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform typical emergency medicine surgical procedures including chest tube insertions and cricothyrotomy.
  • Manage patient volumes ranging from 18-20 per shift at one facility and 16-24 per shift at another.
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), who work independently.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists on staff.
  • Initiate ED Bridge orders for patient admissions with minimal input.
  • Lead code blue responses at specific locations as required.
  • Oversee a varied caseload within non-trauma emergency departments.
