Job Description

We are actively seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 60-day assignment starting Jul 1, 2026, in Pennsylvania. Our client is looking for a dedicated physician to manage a diverse patient caseload across emergency department shifts, performing critical surgical procedures like chest tube insertions and cricothyrotomies, and overseeing advanced practice providers. The role involves managing admissions and participating in code response efforts within a non-trauma setting, supporting facilities with significant annual patient volumes.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform essential surgical procedures, including chest tube insertions and cricothyrotomy.
  • Manage a varying patient caseload, with typical ranges of 18-20 patients per shift at one location and 16-24 at another.
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who operate independently.
  • Handle patient admissions by utilizing ED Bridge orders.
  • Lead code response efforts at one facility, collaborating with intensivists at another.
  • Provide comprehensive emergency care within a non-trauma center environment.


Additional Information
