Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for an 8-day assignment in New Mexico, starting Dec 18, 2026. This role involves providing critical access ER coverage during 12-hour shifts, focusing on a range of emergency procedures and patient stabilization.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide critical access emergency room coverage.
• Perform procedures including endotracheal intubation, central/arterial line placement, paracentesis/thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, tube/needle/finger thoracotomy, chemical/electric cardioversion, and closed fracture reductions.
• Stabilize and prepare trauma patients for transfer to an academic campus.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine is required.
• The facility utilizes the Evident EMR system.
• This is an inpatient emergency department setting.
