Job Description

Our client in New Mexico is actively seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 10-day assignment starting Jul 3, 2026. This vital role involves providing care in a Critical Access Hospital, working 12-hour shifts. The Physician will focus on stabilizing non-designated trauma cases for transfer to an academic campus and performing a range of emergency procedures, supported by comprehensive specialist coverage.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency care within a Critical Access Hospital.
  • Manage non-designated trauma cases, ensuring stabilization before transfer to an affiliated academic campus.
  • Collaborate with a robust team of specialists including 24/7 Hospitalist coverage, Cardiology, OBGYN, Urology, and Pulmonology.
  • Perform essential procedures such as Endotracheal intubation, central/arterial line placement, paracentesis/thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and tube/needle/finger thoracotomy.
  • Utilize advanced life support techniques including ACLS, ATLS, chemical/electric cardioversion, and closed fracture reductions.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • EMR System: Evident.
