Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 1-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. The chosen candidate will provide standard solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, managing a daily patient volume of 90-100, with physicians typically seeing 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 90-100, typically seeing 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift.
• Collaborate with various specialties including Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and Radiology.

• Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine
• EMR: Meditech EHR
• Requirements: Medicaid Certification, Provider Enrollment and Chain/Ownership System (PECOS)
• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Call Schedule: No Call
• Patients per day: Typically 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift
• LOA: 1 Day
• Staffing Mix: 1 physician with 2 mid-level split coverage, 2 PAs/NPs
