The role is ideal for a board-certified or board-eligible physician experienced in high-volume emergency care and comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour shifts
  • Manage acute and emergent cases in a high-volume setting
  • Deliver care across all patient age groups
  • Respond to trauma and critical care situations as required
  • Coordinate with the open ICU on complex or critical cases
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable protocols and standards of care


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
  • Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Burn Life Support
  • Must be enrolled in NC Medicaid and PECOS
