We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Dec 8, 2025, and features standard solo Emergency Room coverage with 12-hour night shifts across select December dates. The assignment involves high patient volume and an open ICU.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour shifts
  • Manage care for a high-volume ER (annual patient volume: 32,000; daily patient volume: 90-100)
  • Treat a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult cases
  • Respond to emergent situations in an open ICU setting
  • Ensure compliance with NC Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment requirements
  • Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver high-quality emergency care


Additional Information

  • Must have active North Carolina medical license
  • Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, Medicaid Certification
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine required
  • NC Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment required
