Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina starting Dec 8, 2025. This opportunity features solo Emergency Room coverage during 12-hour night shifts in an open ICU setting, with a 120-day assignment length and a busy patient volume.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide standard solo Emergency Room coverage for 12-hour night shifts
  • Manage high patient volume
  • Deliver emergency care for a broad range of cases in an open ICU environment
  • Ensure compliance with NC Medicaid credentialing and PECOS enrollment requirements


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS)
  • Must be licensed in North Carolina and have NC Medicaid & Medicare credentials
  • Experience working solo in an emergency room setting preferred
