Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Nov 1, 2025. This role features rotating 12-hour shifts, including day, evening, and overnight hours, providing coverage in a dynamic emergency medicine setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and urgent conditions
  • Perform necessary emergency procedures in accordance with current clinical guidelines
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters
  • Adhere to established protocols and policies for emergency department operations


Additional Information

  • Active North Carolina medical license and DEA required at time of start
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required; BC in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics accepted with minimum 2 years recent emergency medicine experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for non-ABEM providers
  • Must provide documentation of CME over the past 2 years
  • Medical diploma, internship/residency certificates, and board certification documentation required
