We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan starting Mar 1, 2026. Schedule: Shifts include 0600-1600, 0900-2100, 1400-0000, and 2000-0600; specific dates extend from Feb 1, 2026 through Jun 5, 2026 with availability across all shift blocks
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide emergency care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
Perform adult and pediatric outpatient assessments
Newborn resuscitation
Treat orthopedic non-displaced fractures
Suturing of minor lacerations and performing incision and drainage
Address uncomplicated psychiatric cases across all age groups
Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical problems
Manage ventilation, including establishing and maintaining airways and using various ventilation modes for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation
Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
Perform central line and arterial line placements
Interpret EKGs
Conduct arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
Execute additional emergency medicine related procedures
Additional Information
Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required
Michigan medical license required at time of credentialing; IMLC not accepted
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required; ATLS required for ABEM/ABOEM providers, both ATLS and ACLS required for FM/IM
Candidates must be local with a clean background for expedited credentialing
Recent (within 30 days) NPDB self-query required at presentation
