Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients
  • Perform family medicine and emergency procedures, including:
  • Adult and pediatric outpatient management
  • Newborn resuscitation
  • Orthopedic care of non-displaced fractures
  • Suturing of minor lacerations
  • Incision and drainage
  • Management of uncomplicated psychiatric cases (adult, child/adolescent, geriatric)
  • Diagnosis and management of common industrial-related medical issues
  • Airway management and various ventilation modes
  • Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
  • Central and arterial line placement
  • EKG interpretation
  • Arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
  • Other emergency medicine-related procedures


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine by ABEM or AOBEM
  • BLS and ATLS certifications required
  • Active Michigan medical license required at time of submission
  • Provider must be local to Michigan
  • Emergency department experience highly preferred
  • Clean background for rapid credentialing is mandatory
  • Self-Query NPDB report required within recent 90 days
  • Desired shift selection required at time of application
