Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting
  • Perform newborn resuscitation and manage ventilation, including airway establishment and various ventilation modes for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation
  • Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical problems
  • Conduct orthopedic management for non-displaced fractures and suture minor lacerations
  • Perform incision and drainage procedures
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
  • Place and manage central and arterial lines
  • Interpret EKGs
  • Conduct arthrocentesis, lumbar punctures, and paracentesis
  • Manage uncomplicated psychiatric cases across all age groups
  • Perform additional emergency medicine related procedures as needed


Additional Information

  • Michigan medical license required
  • Board certification in Emergency Medical Services required
  • Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS required
  • Experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations preferred
