We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 45-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan. The assignment begins on September 12, 2025, and involves working various shifts ranging from 9 to 10 hours, with the possibility of 12-hour shifts. The physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive emergency care in a hospital setting, handling a wide range of cases including adult and pediatric outpatient care, newborn resuscitation, orthopedic procedures, psychiatric evaluations, and various emergency-related procedures. This position offers a diverse schedule and the opportunity for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages
• Perform adult and pediatric outpatient care
• Conduct newborn resuscitations when necessary
• Manage non-displaced fractures and perform minor orthopedic procedures
• Suture minor lacerations and perform incision and drainage procedures
• Evaluate and treat uncomplicated psychiatric cases for adults, children/adolescents, and geriatric patients
• Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical problems
• Establish and maintain airways, managing ventilation for up to 24 hours without pulmonary consultation
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Insert central and arterial lines
• Interpret EKGs
• Perform various procedures including arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
• Conduct other emergency medicine-related procedures as needed
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice in Michigan
• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills essential
