Job Description

Our client seeks a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician for an impactful locum tenens assignment in Maine. Starting Sep 1, 2026, this position involves 24-hour shifts at a community access hospital. You will provide critical care for a diverse patient population, managing cases such as RSV, stomach pain, chest pain, lacerations, fractures, cold, flu, substance abuse, mental health concerns, and stabilizing accident victims for transport.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage cases including RSV and other respiratory illnesses.
  • Diagnose and treat stomach pain and chest pain.
  • Perform procedures such as wound suturing.
  • Address broken bones and other traumatic injuries.
  • Provide care for common ailments like cold and flu.
  • Support patients with substance abuse and mental health concerns.
  • Stabilize care accident victims for transfer to higher-level facilities.
