We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, and offers a flexible schedule with 40.71 hours of physician coverage, 12 hours of NP/PA support, and 37 hours of scribe support. The ideal candidate will join a high-volume emergency department and contribute expert care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care in a hospital
  • Deliver patient care alongside a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and scribes
  • Manage a broad range of emergency cases and acute presentations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Complete necessary documentation and case logs as required
  • Participate in an interview with the medical director as part of the onboarding process


Additional Information

  • Active Louisiana medical license required (must be clean with no past actions)
  • Required certifications: Board Eligible/Certified in Emergency Medicine, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if not board certified in Emergency Medicine
  • Must provide CME and case logs for the past 2 years, copies of all education and training diplomas, and relevant licensure documents
  • ECFMG required if a foreign medical graduate
  • Additional onboarding requirements include TB results, flu vaccine, health attestation, color photo, social security card, and driver’s license
  • ABEM certification required
