Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Louisiana starting Nov 1, 2025. This ongoing need features a range of shift options, including both day and overnight schedules throughout the week. Physicians with board certification in Emergency Medicine and a current Louisiana license are required, with ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (for Family Medicine-trained candidates) certifications necessary.

• Schedule:
• Monday-Wednesday: 7am-5pm, 10am-8pm, 3pm-1am, 4pm-12am, 8pm-7am
• Thursday-Sunday: 7am-5pm, 10am-9pm, 4pm-2am, 8pm-7am

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments in accordance with Emergency Medicine best practices
• Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly
• Adhere to all hospital protocols and compliance standards

Additional Information

• Must hold a current Louisiana medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) required (ATLS only for Family Medicine-trained physicians)
