Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Doctor for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, starting Mar 2, 2026. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, including days, nights, and weekends, across a main hospital campus and affiliated freestanding emergency rooms. Providers with flexibility for various shift lengths are preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care in Trauma settings
  • Diagnose and manage acute medical conditions and injuries
  • Stabilize and treat patients of all acuity levels in the emergency department
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Document all patient encounters and clinical decisions using Meditech EHR
  • Adhere to all departmental protocols and quality standards


Additional Information

  • Must be board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
  • Active Kentucky medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
  • Experience with Meditech EHR preferred
  • Willingness to work across main campus and affiliated freestanding emergency rooms
