Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Doctor for a locum tenens assignment in Illinois beginning Jan 5, 2026. This 15-day opportunity involves 12-hour single-coverage shifts, with 5 or more shifts per month available on an ongoing basis. Candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant ER experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care in an Emergency Department at a Critical Access Hospital
  • Manage ventilation, intubation, and central line placement
  • Deliver inpatient services and behavioral health support as needed
  • Coordinate with standard specialty backup and the hospitalist program
  • Oversee diagnostic imaging and laboratory coordination
  • Ensure high-quality care in a single-coverage ER setting


Additional Information

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Emergency Room experience required
  • Illinois state license required
