The assignment involves single coverage at a 16-bed hospital with an 8-bed emergency room and an annual volume of 7,000 patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage emergency department patients (approximately 19 patients per day)
  • Perform required procedures including ventilation management, intubation, and central line placement
  • Handle admissions, discharges, and patient observation
  • Collaborate with specialty backup including hospitalist, surgery, anesthesia, radiology, and pathology teams
  • Provide single coverage for the emergency department
