Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Iowa starting Dec 22, 2025. This opportunity involves 12-hour day and night shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a) with no NPPA coverage. Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required; candidates boarded in Family or Internal Medicine will also be considered with current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting with a broad range of acute conditions
  • Assess, diagnose, and stabilize critically ill and injured patients
  • Perform procedures within the scope of emergency medicine
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation
  • Adhere to all facility policies and protocols


Additional Information

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • BC in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine accepted with current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
  • Must hold an active Iowa medical license
