Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Florida. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, with 12-hour shifts available for days, nights, and weekends. The physician must have current ATLS certification and be trained and boarded in Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department
  • Participate in site director-led phone interviews prior to assignment
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine residents as part of the clinical team
  • Document patient care and clinical activities using Meditech EHR
  • Adhere to hospital policies and protocols regarding emergency care delivery


Additional Information

  • Must have current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM only; no exceptions)
  • Florida medical license required
  • Only Emergency Medicine-trained and boarded physicians will be considered
