Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California starting Jan 5, 2026. This ongoing opportunity requires working 4-6 twelve-hour shifts per month with flexible scheduling for both days and nights (7a-7p or 7p-7a). Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong emergency room experience and possess active board certification in Emergency Medicine along with BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide high-quality emergency medical care for patients presenting with a broad range of acute conditions
  • Perform rapid assessments, diagnostics, and initiate treatments as appropriate
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Document patient encounters accurately and promptly
  • Respond to emergency situations and life-threatening cases efficiently
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice in California
  • Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • Strong ER experience is essential
