Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in New York. This assignment begins Dec 15, 2025, spans 120 days, and features 12-hour rotating shifts with a minimum of seven shifts per month. The provider will deliver ER coverage in a dynamic acute care setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide emergency room coverage and acute patient care
  • Perform patient assessments and initial diagnostics
  • Initiate treatment plans and manage trauma, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Respond to urgent and emergent medical cases promptly
  • Document all patient encounters and procedures accurately

Additional Information
  • Active New York license and DEA required
  • ANCC or AANP certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
  • Must be comfortable with all aspects of emergency care
