We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 36-week locum tenens opportunity in New Jersey. This assignment begins on Jan 5, 2026, and offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour and 8-hour shifts available, including days, mids, nights, and weekends. The position is ideal for candidates with trauma experience due to the high acuity and volume at this tertiary care center.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency care in a hospital with an emergency department
  • Perform all lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, chest tube insertion, arterial line placement, and central line placement
  • Respond to a high-acuity, high-volume patient population with adults and geriatrics
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and access robust specialist backup, including consultants from academic centers
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination


Additional Information

  • New Jersey state license required
  • Trauma experience highly preferred
  • Must be comfortable with all critical emergency procedures
