Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Mississippi. This role starts on Nov 1, 2025, and features consistent 11a-9p shifts as part of a collaborative emergency medicine team. Candidates must have recent emergency medicine experience within the past six months and hold an active Mississippi license.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers in a fast-paced emergency department setting
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergency medical conditions
  • Perform procedures and interventions as necessary within the scope of emergency medicine
  • Document all patient encounters and clinical activities accurately and promptly
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and best practices


Additional Information

  • Must have an active Mississippi license
  • Recent emergency medicine experience (within the past six months) is required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is optional
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine required
