Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, starting Mar 2, 2026. This opportunity features 11a-11p shifts in a fast-paced fast track area within the emergency department, with attending physician support available 24 hours a day.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Independently manage patients in the fast track section of the emergency department
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a range of urgent and emergent cases
  • Collaborate with attending physicians who are available for case review, guidance, and questions
  • Work alongside emergency medicine residents; no supervision required for resident cases
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation
  • Adhere to established clinical protocols and hospital policies


Additional Information

  • Must have 2 years of recent emergency department experience
  • Clean background required for quick credentialing—no exceptions
  • Michigan license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
  • Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP) required
