Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 36-day assignment in Kansas. This role involves comprehensive emergency care, including procedures such as central access, intubation, and orthopedic stabilization. The schedule includes a mix of 10-hour day shifts and 12-hour night shifts during the week, with 12-hour shifts on weekends, providing AM and PM coverage.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Proficiency in all emergency care procedures, including Central Access, Arterial Line, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, and Orthopedic stabilization.

Additional Information

• EMR: Meditech EHR
• Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Call requirements: No call
• Patient volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour
• LOA: 36 days
• Staffing mix: Three 9-hour physician shifts daily, typically one APP during the day with some overlap
