Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for an exciting 90-day assignment starting May 4, 2026, in California. This role involves managing 6-8 twelve-hour shifts per month, with options for 9a-9p or 11a-11p schedules. The Physician Assistant will be integral to patient care within a trauma center, handling a diverse range of acute conditions and contributing to both intake and direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide patient care across 6-8 twelve-hour shifts per month.
  • Work effectively in POD B (11A-11P) alongside a Registered Nurse.
  • Manage a variety of cases including belly pain, blood work orders, prescription refills, sick visits, and low-risk chest pain.
  • Perform triage and patient intake in POD C (9A-9P) for the waiting room.
  • Address a broad spectrum of acute conditions within a trauma center.
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with uncontrolled bleeding, sudden or severe pain, respiratory difficulties, major burns, and other critical injuries or changes in mental status.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine is required.
  • Experience with Paragon EMR system.
