Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant to manage night shifts in an ER in Arizona, starting on Oct 1, 2025, for a 30-day locum tenens assignment. The selected candidate will operate the ER during the physician's resting hours, offering a quick response time if needed. Shifts are scheduled from 8 PM to 8 AM, covering 5-10 nights per month.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Run the emergency room independently while the on-call doctor is available for urgent consultations.
  • Ensure seamless operational flow during night shifts.
  • Respond effectively to emergency cases with rapid assessment and management.
  • Maintain communication with the on-call doctor to facilitate swift response times for critical cases.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine
  • Must hold a valid Arizona PA license and have certifications in BLS, PALS, ATLS, and DEA.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support certification is mandatory.
  • Experience with CPSI EMR systems is necessary.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience, including proficiency in intubation.
