Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Arkansas beginning Oct 26, 2025. This 5-day opportunity at a Trauma Center includes a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts as well as a 24-hour shift, within a mid-high volume rural hospital environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage approximately 20 patients per day with 1,000 monthly patient visits
  • Provide solo coverage as the attending physician with nursing support
  • Deliver care across low to mid acuity cases in a mid-high volume setting
  • Perform all lifesaving procedures including intubations, ventilation management, central and arterial line placement
  • Oversee trauma care in three dedicated trauma bays
  • Collaborate with on-call specialists in OBGYN, pediatrics, general surgery, and laboratory
  • Utilize Medhost EMR system for documentation


Additional Information

  • Arkansas medical license required
  • Trauma experience and work in high-volume or rural settings preferred
