Responsibilities and Duties
Provide emergency medicine care in a critical access hospital
Manage inpatient swing beds and inpatient psychiatric beds
Oversee patient care in a 7-bed emergency department
Perform all critical lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, and line placement
Collaborate with on-site and telehealth specialist coverage (Pediatrics, Lab, Diagnostic Radiology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Urology, General Surgery)
Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
Participate in clinic and hospital-based patient management as needed
Additional Information
Active Alabama medical license required
Rural emergency medicine and trauma experience preferred
Commitment to a minimum 3-month contract; ongoing need
