The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine and comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients presenting to the emergency department
  • Perform evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and implement treatment plans for a broad range of acute presentations
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in all aspects of emergency room care, including triage and ongoing management
  • Document clinical findings and treatment in accordance with departmental protocols
  • Maintain current certifications and adhere to facility policies


Additional Information

  • Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Virginia
  • Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (NCCA, ANCC)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Participation in all shift types is mandatory; candidates available for days only will not be accepted
  • Proof of ATLS required once in career
