Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Medicine

Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia starting Dec 1, 2025. This ongoing opportunity offers a 36-day contract and will involve providing care in an emergency room setting. Schedule details and shift hours are to be determined. Qualified candidates must possess an active Virginia state medical license, VA DEA, board certification as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients as a locum tenens provider
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department
• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters
• Uphold clinical protocols and safety standards
• Participate in case reviews and continuing medical education as required

Additional Information

• Active Virginia state medical license required
• Virginia DEA and board certification as Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP or ENP-BC) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Must provide CME and case logs from the past 2 years, COI, copies of all education and training diplomas, driver’s license, color photo, and malpractice documentation
