This opportunity begins Jan 1, 2026, and features 12-hour shifts with day and night options. The position involves providing care in the emergency department alongside a collaborative team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive patient care in the emergency department
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and urgent medical conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Perform procedures within the scope of emergency care
  • Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and nursing staff
  • Document patient encounters and care provided
  • Maintain compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards


Additional Information

  • Active New York state license, DEA registration, and board certification required
  • Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP or ENP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) needed
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
  • Candidates must have completed an EM, FM, or IM residency
  • Additional documentation requirements apply, including CME logs, case logs, and infection control certification
