Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the emergency department
- Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and urgent medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Perform procedures within the scope of emergency care
- Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and nursing staff
- Document patient encounters and care provided
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
Additional Information
- Active New York state license, DEA registration, and board certification required
- Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP or ENP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) needed
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
- Candidates must have completed an EM, FM, or IM residency
- Additional documentation requirements apply, including CME logs, case logs, and infection control certification
