Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive patient care in the emergency department
Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and urgent medical conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic tests
Perform procedures within the scope of emergency care
Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, and nursing staff
Document patient encounters and care provided
Maintain compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
Additional Information
Active New York state license, DEA registration, and board certification required
Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP or ENP-BC) or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) needed
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications required
Candidates must have completed an EM, FM, or IM residency
Additional documentation requirements apply, including CME logs, case logs, and infection control certification
