Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Jan 1, 2026, and features overnight 12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, scheduled monthly and ongoing. The nurse practitioner will independently cover the emergency department with support from an on-call emergency physician, playing a vital role in patient management and admissions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Independently cover the emergency department with access to an on-call emergency physician
  • Manage the core emergency department, including patient evaluation and treatment
  • Assist with placement of inpatient orders and management of admissions
  • Provide procedural care as required
  • Utilize trauma experience if applicable (preferred, not required)


Additional Information

  • Must have a valid New York nurse practitioner license
  • Procedural experience is required
