Job Description

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 36-week locum tenens assignment in New Jersey, starting Jan 5, 2026. Join a tertiary care center with a flexible schedule including 12- and 8-hour shifts across days, mids, nights, and weekends in a high-acuity emergency department.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide emergency care for adult and geriatric patients in an emergency department
  • Perform all lifesaving procedures, including intubation, ventilator management, chest tube insertion, arterial and central line placement
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and utilize robust specialist backup
  • Participate in care at an academic center with access to university-affiliated specialists
  • Document patient care using the Epic EMR system


Additional Information

  • Trauma experience highly preferred due to acuity, volume, and setting
  • Must hold an active GA license
  • Ongoing contract pool with 13-week minimum commitment and potential for extension
