Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in Oklahoma, starting Oct 6, 2025. The role involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dental care to the Native American/Alaska Native communities, ensuring high standards of practice in line with Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers within IHS guidelines.
  • Document services electronically and complete administrative paperwork within 24 hours of patient visit.
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and administrative policies.
  • Provide consultation to Hospital Emergency Department healthcare providers as needed.
  • Deliver dental services, make preliminary diagnoses, and either direct, prescribe, or arrange for specialized care as required.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Dentistry required.
  • Must possess a current DEA license.
  • Proficiency in RPMS EMR system is essential.
  • Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate constructively to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
