Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens opportunity in Tennessee beginning Jan 24, 2026. This assignment is scheduled for two consecutive days, with shifts running from 7am until the last patient is seen. The Dentist will deliver a range of general dental procedures, including extractions, fillings, cavity treatments, bonding, and the application of crowns and caps. The ideal candidate will possess a strong diagnostic skillset and experience across all phases of general dentistry, with an emphasis on oral surgery, restorative, and palliative care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide dental treatments, including extractions, dental fillings, cavity and tooth decay treatments, bonding, and application of crowns and caps
  • Diagnose oral health conditions with a focus on comprehensive care
  • Perform oral surgery, simple restorative treatments, and palliative care
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Adhere to state dental regulations and best practices
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures


Additional Information

  • Must hold a DMD or DDS from an accredited US dental program
  • Active, unrestricted dental license in Tennessee required
  • Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) board certification required
  • Must provide NPI number, current CV/resume, CPR/BLS certification, valid real ID driver’s license, and NPDB report
