Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dentist for a locum tenens assignment in Louisiana, starting Oct 18, 2025, with a 2-day commitment. This opportunity features a 7AM to last patient seen schedule and involves providing comprehensive dental care, including extractions, restorative treatments, and oral surgery. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong diagnostic abilities and proficiency in all phases of general dentistry with an emphasis on oral surgery and palliative care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide dental treatments to patients, including extractions, dental fillings, cavity and tooth decay treatments, bonding, and applications of dental crowns and caps
  • Perform oral surgery, restorative, and palliative care procedures
  • Exhibit strong diagnostic skills and comprehensive knowledge of general dentistry
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and adhere to all clinical protocols


Additional Information

  • Must have a DMD or DDS from an accredited US program
  • Active Louisiana Dental License with no restrictions required
  • Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) board certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Must provide NPI number, CV or resume, CPR/BLS certification, valid driver’s license, and NPDB report
