We are seeking a Dentist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Aug 4, 2025. This position requires working Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will be entrusted with comprehensive dental care responsibilities within a correctional facility setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Examine teeth and gums for cavities, infections, and diseases
  • Take necessary dental x-rays
  • Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, cleanings, and root canals
  • Diagnose and develop comprehensive dental treatment plans
  • Supervise and coordinate the facility dental program
  • Advise and instruct on dental disease prevention
  • Manage dental and medical supplies inventory
  • Maintain dental records and ensure confidentiality and security
  • Audit dental files and monitor contract services
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of staff and inmates
