Job Description
We are seeking a Dentist for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Aug 4, 2025. This position requires working Monday through Friday for 40 hours per week. Responsibilities and Duties
- Examine teeth and gums for cavities, infections, and diseases
- Take necessary dental x-rays
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, cleanings, and root canals
- Diagnose and develop comprehensive dental treatment plans
- Supervise and coordinate the facility dental program
- Advise and instruct on dental disease prevention
- Manage dental and medical supplies inventory
- Maintain dental records and ensure confidentiality and security
- Audit dental files and monitor contract services
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols
- Communicate effectively with a diverse group of staff and inmates
