We are seeking a Critical Care Physician for a 30-day assignment in Michigan, beginning Oct 19, 2026. This role involves providing essential inpatient critical care, with a focus on performing various advanced procedures such as moderate sedation, intubation, ventilator management, and the insertion of central and arterial lines. Schedule details will be determined.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform Moderate Sedation
Conduct Lumbar Puncture procedures
Execute Endotracheal Intubation and Extubation
Perform Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
Manage Ventilators, including assessing readiness for and administering respiratory weaning/oxygen therapy and extubation, and assessing the need for intubation
Insert Chest Tubes
Insert PICC Lines, Arterial Lines, and Central Venous Lines either percutaneously or by cut down
Perform Arterial Line Insertion and Removal (radial and femoral)
Provide Tracheostomy Care, including tube changes
Manage Tension pneumothorax in emergent situations
Perform External pacing, including adjusting temporary epicardial, transvenous, or transcutaneous pacemakers as necessary
Additional Information
Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine required
Proctoring of specific procedures may be required for privileging
