Job Description

We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Illinois, starting Apr 6, 2026. This role involves delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients, managing 5–10 patients per shift, participating in ICU rounds, and performing critical care procedures. Shifts are from 10 AM to 10 PM, with a minimum of 4 consecutive shifts required; weekend-only availability is acceptable.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients in collaboration with physicians, other APPs, and the e-ICU team.
  • Manage 5–10 patients per shift.
  • Participate in ICU rounds at 10 AM and 10 PM.
  • Perform critical care procedures including Central Venous Catheter (CVC) placement, Arterial line placement, Hemodialysis (HD) line placement, and Intubations (based on skill and comfort level).
  • Collaborate with on-site physicians, other APPs, and/or e-ICU as needed.

  • Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine required.
