Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a 30-day assignment in SC. This role involves 12-hour shifts Monday-Friday and 24-hour weekend shifts, including 7-10 days of cardiovascular surgery coverage. You will be responsible for covering consults, first assisting in OR cases, conducting rounds in PCU and clinic, and performing various procedures like chest tube insertions and thoracentesis.

Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct rounds in PCU and clinic settings
Perform procedures on the floor, including chest tubes and thoracentesis
Manage ER and Cath lab consults
Cover hospital consults
First assist in operating room cases
Provide 7 to 10 days of cardiovascular surgery coverage shift or call

Setting: Mixed setting (inpatient and outpatient)
Call Schedule: Out of house call coverage
Patients per day: 5-15
LOA: 30 Days
Staffing Mix: 6 APPs, 6 MAs
