The assignment begins on 10/04/2025, covering 24-hour non-restrictive call from Friday to Monday morning, 7am to 7am. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing cardiovascular cases, providing rounding and call coverage for consults, ED, CVICU, and other CT surgery-related matters. This role requires a 30-minute recall to the hospital and utilizes Epic EMR. The position offers comprehensive coverage for cardiovascular surgical patients with potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide 24-hour non-restrictive call coverage for cardiovascular surgery patients

• Respond to consults from ED, CVICU, and other departments

• Perform patient rounds and manage post-operative care

• Handle any CT surgery-related issues as the first point of contact

• Collaborate with residents and attending surgeons on patient care

• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and care coordination

• Maintain a 30-minute recall to the hospital when on call

• Assist in the management of cardiovascular emergencies

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiovascular surgical care

• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and quality standards
