Job Description

We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting Feb 23, 2026. This role offers a dynamic schedule with 8a-4p shifts, nightly call from 4p-8a, and 24-hour weekend call two weekends per month. The selected candidate will play a key role in patient care, including pre-op physical exams, coordination of care, and rounding.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform suture removal
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Write prescriptions
  • Coordinate patient care
  • Conduct rounding on patients
  • Complete pre-operative physical exams


Additional Information

  • Active Ohio NP license required
  • Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • 100 percent clean background required; no exceptions
  • Prior training and relevant experience required
