We are seeking an experienced Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, starting Mar 9, 2026. This position features a 4-day, 10-hour workweek with a rotating call schedule and one required weekend shift per month. The Nurse Practitioner will join a collaborative team supporting both cardiac and vascular surgeons in a hospital setting, focusing on inpatient rounding without any operating room responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Round on cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in collaboration with cardiac and vascular surgeons
• Provide inpatient clinical support and patient management
• Coordinate care plans and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in the call rotation as scheduled
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards

Additional Information

• Board certification as an Advanced Practice Provider required
• Active Michigan state medical license preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
• Experience required; new graduates must have relevant clinical experience
