We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a 48-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland beginning Nov 1, 2025. This opportunity offers day shifts, Monday through Friday, with four 10-hour shifts per week. The role involves perioperative care, including post-op management, procedures, and working with a collaborative surgical team.

Schedule: Days vary Monday through Friday, 4 ten-hour shifts per week, arrive at 6:30am, see OR patients and complete interval H&P note
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide perioperative care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients
Conduct post-operative management including central line, arterial line, chest tube, and wound care vac procedures
Perform vein harvesting using the Vasoview hemopro system
Assess and document interval history and physicals for OR patients
Collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to optimize patient outcomes
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Additional Information
Minimum three years of experience required
Must have CV OR experience
Proficiency with vein harvesting using the Vasoview hemopro system required
Board certification required
ACLS, BLS, and CSR licenses required
DEA registration required
Open to candidates eligible for Maryland licensure
